ABOUT US
Photo Spectrum has been a family owned business for over 20 years, working from our studio in Lihue. Originally we started out as a one hour photo lab and photo gallery at the Westin Kauai in 1989. We opened Photo Spectrum on Kuhio Hwy. in 1992, and expanded to custom dark room work, and studio photography. In 2018 we transitioned to a home based business like most of the industry.
Ron Kosen (photographer/owner) is an active and well known Kauai photographer and has shot hundreds of weddings and events, and is an experienced studio portrait photographer. He has also been a regular photojournalist for The Honolulu Star Advertiser, and Midweek Kauai. He is the dad of two boys and has long been an leader, coach, and referee in the local soccer community. He brings a unique and wide ranging skill set to every event. As the lead photographer he personally edits all of the images on all events.
Shelby Longley has been an associate photographer for many years. She is well known for her endless enthusiasm and creativity. She is the mom of five kids who are avid soccer players and motocross riders.
